A Workshop Facilitator enables group learning sessions designed to lead to enhanced employment related knowledge and skill acquisition. They use Adult Learning Principles to tailor group activities towards meeting specific career-life planning needs for diverse client groups.

A Workshop Facilitator 2 is a skilled facilitator who not only delivers workshops/training, but researches, designs and develops workshops and materials.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Good knowledge of community organizations, service providers, and referral agencies
  • Ability to access and effectively use information and communications technology; conduct research
  • Solid understanding of Labour Market Information (LMI) and its applications
  • Ability to design, organize and implement group sessions with diverse client groups
  • Good understanding of Adult Learning Principles
  • Understanding of program evaluation concepts
  • Ability to research, develop and write workshop content
  • Working knowledge of employment/career related services, programs, and interventions.
