RPL Advisor
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Advisors support individuals in identifying, articulating, documenting, and navigating recognition of learning acquired through work, volunteer activities, community involvement, informal learning, and lived experience.
RPL Advisors assist learners in understanding and accessing recognition opportunities while helping them connect prior learning to educational, occupational, credentialing, and career pathways.

Depending on context, RPL Advisors may work within educational institutions, workforce development organizations, community agencies, credential recognition programs, newcomer-serving organizations, apprenticeship systems, or sector-specific initiatives.
The Ideal candidate possesses:
- The knowledge and skills to help individuals identify and articulate their knowledge, skills, and competencies gained through formal, non-formal, and informal learning.
- The ability to support learners with their individual learning styles in preparing for assessment, developing and organizing evidence, understanding recognition systems and credential pathways, and navigating education and employment opportunities.
- The ability to advocate for learners, collaborate with stakeholders, and promote fair, equitable, and learner-centred recognition practices.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary or equivalent
- Recommended to have a CCDP designation (obtained or working towards)
- Formal training in case management practices
- Able to perform or conduct needs assessments
- 5+ years of experience in the field
- Demonstrated all competencies of CDP 3
